The “Town of Muttzanita” is growing so it is only appropriate for it to have its own Mayor.
How to enter your pet…… simple!
As with any public office there are a few rules if you wish to nominate your furry friend to this position.
- Candidate must be a resident of the tri-city area (Manzanita, Nehalem and Wheeler)
- Candidate must be available to attend Muttzanita
- Complete the form. Be sure to sign.
- Include your very best picture (4×6 or 5×7 only) as they will be displayed around town in voting locations.
- Return the form and picture (email is preferable).
- There is no cost to nominate your pet.
- Enter your pet early. The sooner you enter the more votes constituents can cast for their favorite non-human.

Farmers Market ( Sept 4 and Sept 11)
Voting will close Sept. 11th at 7 pm at the Farmers Market. The pet with the most votes wins the election. The new mayor will be sworn in on Saturday Sept 12th at 10:10am (prior to the parade), then ride with their human in the lead car of the Pet Parade.
